Looking to get more variety out of your Americana-themed stamps? Here are a few ways to give your stamped images a fresh look!

For today’s inspiration, I am using the “Flag Across America” stamp from Technique Junkies.

First, I stamped several images in red, blue and yellow ink.

For variety, I incorporated KRAFT cardstock.

The simple addition of Kraft cardstock gives a facelift to traditional red, white, and blue projects.

I ran my navy blue card panel through a “star” embossing folder.

I dragged Distress Crayons around the edges.

Next, I fussy-cut the America image.

Then, I used die cuts for the “4th”.

Using the “Outline Letters Alphabet Die Set”, I die cut the “4th” out of red cardstock and also out of one of red-inked stamped images. Then, I used the inside-image of the “4” and also the outline die cuts from the red cardstock. Then, I added a bit of inexpensive white matte acrylic paint to the edges of the card panel.

I added bling inside of the stars.

Try using color varieties.

Instead of traditional red, white and blue, utilize other color palettes.

I used a military-themed color palette with the same “Flag Across America” stamp to change the look and feel of the finished project. Click the photo below to see how to create this card!

You could also use this same idea to create cards that inspire and encourage acceptance of cultural diversity in America. Think of the variety of color palettes which represent diversity, and let your imagination run wild!
