Tip #1: Buy Postage NOW
Pick up a book of stamps every few weeks or so, or every time you hit the grocery store. Store your stamps all together in a separate space just for Christmas cards and envelopes. The minute you are ready to send cards, the stamps are there!

Tip #2: Make Address Labels NOW
Use a simple spreadsheet to make a basic chart. Put people’s names in one column, their street address in another column, their city in another column, and so on. Typing your spreadsheet that way makes label making EASY! You only need to type the whole thing once and modify as people change addresses. Print the labels, stick them to envelopes, and keep them in the same space with your stamps and Christmas cards.

Tip #3: Organize/Make Kits NOW
Keep uncut (new) paper in one area, but organize your paper SCRAPS into workable card-making “kits”. I detail the how-to’s of this amazing organization tip in my previous blog post HERE: DIY Cardmaking Kits

Tip #4: Stamp, Color and Die Cut NOW
In the mood to play with your supplies, but don’t want to create finished projects right now? Just spend time stamping, coloring and die cutting. Or, find a nice piece of patterned paper with lots of Christmas patterns to fussy cut. Then, store all the cuts in boxes or tins or even plastic bags. Later when you feel like making finished cards or layouts, you have stamped colored images ready to go!

Tip #5: Create with Craft Outfitting™ NOW
Just completing ONE Craft Outfitting™ pattern will get you 4 scrapbook pages and 12 cards ahead of the season! It takes about 5 hours to complete one pattern, give or take. And, it’s perfect to take to an upcoming crop or crafting workshop. Learn more about Craft Outfitting™ HERE.

If you have never heard of Craft Outfitting™, NOW is definitely the time to check it out! You basically use your own supplies to create several scrapbook layouts and several cards all in one crafting sitting. It’s super easy, and it is the way I do my own personal crafting. AND it is NOT a sketch to follow. You follow the free YouTube tutorial and if you want the cutting guide and measurements, you can opt to purchase them.

Hopefully you will give some of these tips a try for yourself and get ahead before the Christmas rush! Don’t forget to share this post with your crafty social media groups and FOLLOW the Sandpaper Road blog to never miss a dose of crafty inspiration!
