DIY Texture Paste

Easy, 4-ingredient go-to texture paste mixture you create at home! Great for trying your hand at mixed media techniques, and excellent to use in a bind when you suddenly run out of your favorite texture paste mid-project.

The recipe:

  • Baby Powder 1/4 cup
  • White School Glue 1 Tablespoon
  • White Matte Acrylic Paint 1 Tablespoon
  • Water spray bottle

Mix together the baby powder, school glue and acrylic paint. The mixture will be powdery and weird. After mixing for about a minute or so, spray with a few sprays of water. Mix again. Continue to mix and spray until the paste is thick and shiny. For best results, use immediately after mixing. Store unused paste in a tightly-sealed plastic container. Lasts about 3 weeks or so.
