Valentine’s Day Shaker Card

Let’s make a cute and easy shaker card for Valentine’s Day!

Creating a shaker card can be easy!

I used a Waffle Flower Shaker Cover adhered around a 4” x 5-1/4” (10,1 cm x 13,3 cm) embossed card panel. After adhering three sides of the shaker cover, I gently poured in my shaker elements and then adhered the fourth side shut.

Then, I adhered the shaker “pouch” to a card base measuring 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” (10,6 cm x 13,8 cm). Using stitched rectangle nesting dies, I cut a frame from a piece of “Our Story” patterned paper which had been cut “just shy” of 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” (10,6 cm x 13,8 cm).

Add cute elements!

I added two gnomes and the flower bouquet from the “In Love” Charming Extras to cut set. As a finishing touch, I added the “Love is the Answer” sentiment from a sheet of wedding/anniversary quotes.

Stamp inside the card

I used a wooden block Valentine’s Day stamp from my stash for the inside sentiment. There’s something very satisfying about stamping with wooden-block rubber stamps and getting it straight (without any “helping” tools)! In the video, I admit I was a little apprehensive (as you can hear in my voice!).

Before I filmed my video tutorial, I also created a “practice” card, which you can see below.

Nice and easy and so cute!
