Christmas Wall Hanging | Craft O’Clock Paper | Wine Box

Today, I’m sharing an easy and festive holiday wall hanging that I made. It has the strength of a sturdy, wooden home decor piece, but it’s made with cardboard and paper!

I started with an empty wine box. This particular box is considerably stronger than cereal boxes or cracker boxes and it works great as a base for a project.

I cut the box into 3 equal-sized pieces and adhered TWO of the pieces together with 3D Matte Gel, using clothespins to hold the pieces together until dry. Then, I wrapped the single piece AND the new double-cardboard piece each in black cardstock.

I used the same 3D Matte Gel to adhere a piece of ribbon in between the two wrapped pieces, using plenty of gel to hold everything together like a sandwich. Clothespins held the two pieces together overnight until the gel dried fully. Then I used a piece of 12″ x 12″ Blue Mood paper for the panel.

For the decorations, I used the “Warm and Peaceful” paper collection by Craft O’Clock. This collection had everything I needed – festive patterns, flowers, and embellishments. I also used a chipboard quote from Craft O’Clock which reads “Family House”.

As a final touch, I added some fibers and embellishments from my craft stash. As a very last step, I hand-tied the ribbon at the top into a bow.
