Create beautiful mixed media tags easily using perforated tissue box tops as a tag base!

Watch the video tutorial!
Gently pull off tissue box top. This will be your tag base. For a sturdier base, glue together 2 or 3 tissue box tops.
Coat with heavy gesso. Let dry.
Spread a thin coat of modeling paste through a stencil and gently lift the stencil. Let paste dry.
Clean off excess modeling paste residue immediately.
When tags are dry, add color. Use powders, mica sprays, spray ink, ink refills, ink pads, acrylic paint, whatever you have on hand. Move the color around by spritzing lightly with a spray bottle of water and drying the surface with a heat gun between color layers. If you want your tags to have a HOLE at the top, punch the hole at this time. Let tags dry completely.
When tags are dry, add layers of embellishments.

Easy and beautiful mixed media masterpieces!
I embellished my tags with extras from "This Miracle Night" paper collection by Craft O'Clock.
