CREATE MASKS BY CUTTING THE “SHADOW BLACKOUT” FROM VINYL – Stick the vinyl mask over an area and ink or paint over top. Remove the vinyl to reveal a clean space in a shape that matches your project. Use the clean area to stamp inside, journal, or even adhere the coordinating-smaller-cut-shape.

Cut vinyl masks with the “shadow blackout” feature and then create cool projects.

JOURNAL TAGS – Perfect for scrapbook layouts, the “shadow blackout” shapes can be stamped with a journaling stamp, or even cut out from pre-lined journaling cardstock!

Use your Cricut to cut shapes from journal paper, or cut from plain cardstock and stamp with a journal stamp.

MINI BOOKS – Use heavy cardstock or even acetate sheets to cut “shadow blackout” shapes for a unique mini-book!

I used my Cricut to cut house shapes with the “shadow blackout” feature, then turned them into a mini book.

TAG SWATCHES FOR INKS – Cut several “shadow blackout” shapes from white cardstock, watercolor paper, yupo paper, etc. Swatch colors on them, punch a hole, and hang together on a ring.

I used my Cricut to cut tag shapes for Gelato color swatches.
